In last week’s Marketing Management class we had the pleasure to welcome Leslie Moore. She is an Arkansas State University alumni working as Creative Marketing Director for Cache River Valley Seed in Jonesboro. Since she graduated in the year 2009, she won more than twenty awards from the American Institute of Graphic Artists and the American Advertising Federation.
With reference to our class with her, she showed us a power point presentation and mentioned basic aspects about graphics, logos and brands. For example, where are the eyecatchers on an image and which fonts you shouldn’t or should use.
Furthermore, videos about some inspiring people were shown during the presentation.
Overall, it was an interesting presentation about what you should take care by creating images, logos, layouts and brochures.
I always wanted to be more creative in my life but had no idea how I can implement that. She really helped me with those things and showed us sources where I can get some inspiration.
One statement about being creative she mentioned was, “Keep it simple.”
