More and more companies launch services and programs to help people through the world. Do they really want to help people in need or just to achieve higher sales figures?
As an example I want to quote “TOMS Shoes."
TOMS Shoes and the story behind “One for One”
TOMS Shoes is a for-profit company and with every pair of shoes they sell, they give one pair of shoes to one of their 100+ Shoe Giving Partners. The shoes are for children in need to protect their feet and that they are able to go to school. The company, founded in year 2006, has given 10 million pairs of shoes to children in 59 countries. And they expect to give 10 million more pairs of shoes in the next 24 months. That is impressive, isn’t it?
My personal view on companies they use Corporate Social Responsibility to market their products is, that they do a great job. Every day more and more people think about their decisions they make, and what they can change to make the world as a better place.
Of course, their target group is enormous but the more they address, the better they can help those people. I think there are a lot of other companies, who have the opportunity to react, help and as they say, make the world a better place.
What do you think about that?
Do not hesitate to send me an email about your opinion.
